- represented a private Irish fund in the acquisition of a significant mixed retail and office development in Princes Street, Edinburgh
- acted for Stainton Capital in the sale of St Magnus House and Talisman House in Aberdeen for over £50million combined value
- acting for CALA Properties in the £65million purchase of the Brandon Shopping Centre, Motherwell which comprises a total of over 90 retail units in the heart of Motherwell Town Centre
- acted for Hilstone in the acquisition of a portfolio of properties from Sackville Properties plc valued in excess of £200million. The transaction was completed within 6 weeks of signing an exclusivity agreement
- acting for LNC on a cross border transaction selling a portfolio of English and Scottish properties totalling £102million
- acting for Shere Group on the acquisition of a telecom mast estate from a subsidiary of United Utilities plc. The estate comprises income and management rights
- acted for GSE in a tax efficient restructuring of an investment property at Avonmouth, Bristol and the subsequent sale to the Crown Estate Commissioners
- acted on the purchase of Beatties Department Store (Birkenhead) - a House of Fraser store
Development
- advising City of Edinburgh Council on current significant development opportunities (including in relation to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre) and providing assistance with strategy in relation to Edinburgh City Centre Development Partnership in the promotion of the Princes Street "String of Pearls" project
- completed the construction and letting for Miller Cromdale (a joint venture between Miller Developments and Cromdale Limited) of 32,000 square feet of office accommodation at Freedom House, Old Ford Road, Aberdeen to Aker Business Services Limited
- acting for Perth City West LLP (a JV between Elphinstone Holdings and Hunter Capital) in their agreement with Sainsbury's for the sale of 11 acres at Huntingtower, Perth for a development of a foodstore of up to 70,000 sq ft
- acted on behalf of joint venture company CALA Evans Restoration Limited in the acquisition of the prestigious Donaldson's College, West Coates, Edinburgh from the Governors of the Donaldson Trust
- acting for Glasgow Harbour Limited on the Glasgow Harbour Development Project (one of the largest UK waterfront regeneration projects (130 acre site) with a projected value on completion in excess of £1.2Billion)
- acting for Hamilton Park Developments Limited in the development of 8 separate office buildings at Hamilton Park Technology Park pursuant to EZ Golden Contracts
- acting for HF Developments Limited in the development of the former post office building known as G1, George Square, Glasgow
- acting for Elphinstone Group Limited in the development, letting and eventual sale of the City Park development in Glasgow for £64million
- acting for CALA on the acquisition of the Scottish Agricultural Agency site at Craig's Road, Edinburgh for the development of 251 private units and 46 affordable housing units at a price in excess of £23million
- acting on behalf of Glasgow City Council in connection with the arrangements with New City Vision for the regeneration of eight sites within the Drumchapel area of Glasgow and the construction and delivery of over 2,000 homes
- acting on behalf of CTP Property Holdings Limited in connection with the acquisition of a mixed use development site at Forthside, Stirling for the erection of a multiplex cinema with independent restaurant/cafes and the redevelopment of 63,000 sq ft of five listed buildings for office and leisure use
- acting on behalf of Elphinstone in the sale of Elphinstone Place to City Loft Developments for development of a 45 story residential tower and 220,000 sq ft of commercial offices in Glasgow's office quarter
- acted for Fairview on its acquisition of the former Crawley Leisure Centre with an end value in the region of £150million
- acting for Inpartnership Consortium in relation to the regeneration of North Solihull, Birmingham
