Expertise
William has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate finance work and in general corporate lending, acting for lenders and borrowers. Having begun his career as a commercial property lawyer, he also has particular expertise in the areas of real estate development, investment and management, including property disposals and acquisitions and landlord and tenant work. He has acted on a number of £100million-plus financings including portfolio refinances, as well as variously for borrowers and lenders on senior and mezzanine development finance deals and in relation to real estate SPV acquisitions.William is also a fluent French and Spanish speaker.
Recent Successes:
- advised HBOS in connection with the provision of refinancing and property investment facilities totalling £187million to the Happybadge Group
- advised a major international hotels group in relation to two new working capital facilities from different lenders totalling £100million
- advised The Royal Bank of Scotland plc in relation to portfolio refinance and property acquisition facilities of £100million to a leisure industry borrower
- acted for a property developer in relation to the negotiation of development finance facilities totalling £44million in respect of the construction of 170 residential units and commercial space in Grafton Square, Clapham
