Paul is a partner in McGrigors' corporate team in London, and regularly advises clients on cross-border projects.
Expertise
Paul's experience includes acting for a well-known listed telecommunications group on the listing of a £3bn Eurobond, acting for a major US agricultural processor on the restructuring of its European subgroup, and working with a European group in the oil & gas sector on transactional projects involving interests in the Far East, North Africa and Canada.
He has a particular focus on the following areas:
- pan-European restructuring projects - Paul has significant experience of the planning, implementation and operation of legal restructuring projects, often in connection with transfer pricing or other tax objectives, or in the context of legal entity reduction programmes. In relation to transfer pricing arrangements, his experience includes franchise, commissionaire, distribution, finance and group services arrangements
- cross-border corporate finance transactions - Paul regularly works with overseas and domestic clients in relation to the planning, negotiation and implementation of cross-border transactions
- fund structures - Paul's experience include the establishment and restructuring of funds and advisory entities, including private equity, venture capital and real estate sectors.
Publications and interests
Paul is a contributor to the LexisNexis online resources on transfer pricing, and has written articles for other publications such as the Tax Journal and the Journal of International Journal of International Business & Finance Law.
