Michael is Head of the Banking, Projects and Procurement Business Group (a team comprising Banking & Finance, Energy & Infrastructure and Construction Procurement lawyers). He is also Head of the Infrastructure Group and a Partner specialising in Project Finance. He works from our Edinburgh and London offices.

Michael has experience in all areas of finance and debt related work including project finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and restructuring. He has acted for both lenders (bank and non-bank) and borrowers.

- acted for Bank of Scotland plc in the establishment of BoS Infrastructure Partners LP (a c£400million Infrastructure Fund)
- acting on the restructuring and rescheduling of various property investment, property development and leveraged transactions
- acting in the restructuring and variation of two waste water and sewerage PPP Projects
- acting on the refinancing of a large schools PPP Project
advising on the NPD financing of various infrastructure and energy transmission projects - acting for project companies and funders on a number of renewable energy financings
