Christine is our Risk & Knowledge Management Partner and a member of our Board. She is based in our Edinburgh office.
Expertise
Formerly a partner in our banking & finance team, Christine took up a full time position as Knowledge Management Partner in January 1999. In this role she set up an integrated team (encompassing IT, Information Services, Professional Training, Professional Support and Knowledge Management) to provide and develop appropriate systems, tools, resources and training to maximise efficiency, consistency and quality of service across the Firm.
In 2002, McGrigors won a Best Practice Award in the Innovators in Learning Awards, alongside Channel Four, The Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays Bank. The Awards, sponsored by Business a.m. and Business Lab, were designed to recognise best practice in corporate learning. We were commended for our approach to integrated knowledge management - linking learning to our business strategy - and the learning environment which exists throughout our organisation.
In 2005 Christine took on the additional role of Risk Management Partner (UK) and now heads the integrated Risk & Knowledge Management team. In this role she also responsible for risk management, regulatory compliance and quality assurance across the Firm. She was elected as a member of the McGrigors Board in May 2007.
Christine is a member of the Council of the Law Society of Scotland, Convenor of the Education and Training Committee and Vice Convenor of the Insurance Committee. She is also a member of the Professional Competence Course Accreditation Panel. In March 2009 Christine was elected as a member of the Executive Board of the Law Society of Scotland.
