Press Release 30 October 2007 McGrigors forms UK-wide Capital Markets Team UK law firm McGrigors LLP has formed a UK Capital Markets team, bringing together the skills of its sector experts from across its network. The specialist senior team is part of McGrigors’ Corporate practice. The team consists of five partners and twelve associates and senior associates who all have considerable experience in taking companies to market, advising on compliance issues, takeovers, fund-raisings, acquisitions and public to private transactions. Experts within the team are actively involved in city-wide committee’s including the AIM advisory panel and Quoted Companies Alliance, thereby shaping the direction of and implementing regulatory changes. The team will continue to advise a broad range of UK and International clients across an array of sectors including biotech, software, energy, financial services, real estate, leisure and ports and transport. In 2006, McGrigors advised on 14 AIM transactions raising over £365 million, including cross-border transactions in Germany, Eastern Europe, China and Indonesia. In 2007, highlights have included the listing of Neuropharm Group plc on AIM, the fund-raising and dual listing of AIM listed Stem Cell Sciences plc on the Australian Stock Exchange and a £104 million listed bond issue for Dundee Schools acting for lead manager Royal Bank of Canada Europe Limited. Most recently, the team has advised Livingston-based Craneware plc on its AIM market listing. The UK Capital Markets team is being led by Martin Finnegan who is a Partner in McGrigors’ Corporate team. Commenting on forming the new team, Martin said, “There is a significant amount of capital markets experience across our UK office network and we thought that it made sense to harness this expertise and form a UK wide-team. By doing this, we are able to tailor our advice and bring the most appropriate team to each assignment to which McGrigors is appointed.
