McGrigors launches UK-wide planning team
Leading law firm, McGrigors LLP, has launched a new planning team with a UK-wide focus, consolidating expertise from its commercial litigation, real estate and environment practices.
The five partner team of Jacqueline Harris, Craig Connal QC, Jennifer Ballantyne, John Curran and Anna Forge has combined experience spanning all aspects of public and private property law. The team has expertise in all aspects of planning practice from strategic planning and property advice through to appeals, inquiries and judicial review. They have acted in a number of high profile and successful development proposals including the Ocean Terminal, Edinburgh, the Granton Harbour Regeneration in Edinburgh; the Glasgow Harbour regeneration project; the NIE Interconnector Inquiry and numerous planning inquiries and appeals on matters ranging from commercial and retail development to major renewable energy proposals. McGrigors considers its team to be unique in its breadth of expertise and UK reach.
McGrigors has had a strong presence offering planning advice in Scotland for some time and the team’s expertise has been complemented with the arrival of Anna Forge, an expert in regeneration and local government planning ,in the firm’s London office last year.

This consolidation of expertise is the third such move by McGrigors in as many months following the introduction of new teams covering private equity and capital market transactions.
