Press Release 08 February 2007 McGrigors expands Financial Services Regulatory and Corporate Defence team UK law firm McGrigors LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Piggin as a solicitor to the Financial Services Regulatory and Corporate Defence team. This is a significant appointment for the growing sector team. Maria gained extensive experience in serious fraud matters involving multiple defendants and losses usually amounting to millions of British pounds prosecuted by a variety of bodies including the Crown Prosecution Service, Revenue and Customers Prosecutions Office, Serious Fraud Office and the Serious and Organised Crime Agency. James Bullock, joint head of the firm's Risk Advisory Solutions national business group, commented: "Maria’s experience in the practice of criminal law combined with her desire to specialise in corporate crime meant she is the ideal person to join our developing Financial Services Regulatory and Corporate Defence team. It’s an exciting time for this growing sector and Maria’s appointment strengthens our proposition." Prior to joining Bark & Co, Maria was an assistant solicitor at Lawrence Graham where she worked in the banking and finance team. Originally qualified in New Zealand, Maria was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2003. For further information please contact:
