Press Release 05 February 2008 McGrigors appoints Karen Fielding as Director in its London Real Estate team UK law firm McGrigors LLP has today announced the expansion of its London Real Estate team with the appointment of Karen Fielding as Director. During her ten years at Norton Rose, Karen worked across the Real Estate practice with particular emphasis on property investment, development and landlord and tenant matters. Her key clients included London's leading provider of small and medium sized enterprise accommodation in London, Workspace Group Plc, and ING Group. Karen acted as an advisor to ING on its acquisition of the Abbey Group property portfolio comprising 129 properties for £1.2bn and the IPO of ING UK Real Estate Income Trust. She subsequently headed up the Norton Rose team in relation to the management of over 60 properties for ING. Karen has acted for Workspace for the past 10 years in relation to a large proportion of their acquisitions and disposals including the disposal of its entire Midlands portfolio of 26 multi let properties, acquisition of Kennington Park Business Centre for £56m and its joint venture with Copthorn Homes to provide a live/work scheme in East London. This is the latest in a string of appointments that McGrigors has made to its growing Real Estate team. Anna Forge and Luke Miotte recently joined the team from Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw and Mishcon de Reya respectively.
