McGrigors wins further CSR award at Scottish Legal Awards

National law firm McGrigors has once again won an award for our Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Horizons. Last year the Firm was named CSR Firm of the Year and this year the Firm took the award for Community Initiative of the Year.

The award was won for our work with local schools and our entry focused in particular on our work with St.Stephen's primary school which is at the heart of one of Glasgow's most deprived communities. Besides providing financial assistance to set up a library at St Stephen's and their playground 'reading trees', McGrigors has taken an active role in supporting their active learning programme by supplying volunteers to work with the children.

In support of the award nomination Sandra Gill, Class Teacher, St Stephen's Primary School said:

"Active Learning is a new initiative in our school.  It can be quite daunting to undertake such big changes to the curriculum.   Seeing McGrigors staff join us for each session with such commitment and enthusiasm is very encouraging for the staff, therefore it has been very beneficial in helping us to get our programme established.  We are all looking forward to continuing this successful partnership."
