Innovative lawyers, independently recognised.
At McGrigors we believe that law isn't just about what you know, it's about how you think. We see law as a creative discipline that involves thinking beyond conventions to find lateral solutions that save our clients time and money and help them reach their strategic goals. This not only achieves better results for our clients, but it creates a more interesting and stimulating working relationship, where the emphasis is on spotting opportunities, not just highlighting problems.
Our commitment to innovation was recently recognised by the Financial Times in their FT Law 50 Innovative Lawyers rankings. Thoroughly and independently researched, the FT Law 50 is a ranking of Europe's fifty most innovative law firms. McGrigors not only achieved inclusion in the rankings for its innovative approach across the business, but the work of one of our Senior Associates, Maria Piggin in our Business Crime and Commercial Fraud Team was also highly commended in the category of Dispute Resolution for finding a new way to use existing legislation to help a professional services client recoup significant costs for providing documents to court as the result of a production order. Not only did this lateral thinking save our own client money, it provided an important precedent for the industry.
We were further commended in the categories of Client Service and Resourcing. Under Client Service, the FT researchers were impressed by the bespoke client management system we built for a real estate client which allows them real-time online access to all of their transaction and billing information, giving them a clear idea of where any deal is at any one time and complete transparency over fees. The researchers were also impressed by our resourcing policies which were implemented to prevent redundancies, ensuring that we were able to retain talent and capacity to meet our clients needs.

Pragmatism
Our clients don't need chapter and verse on what the law says, they need straightforward analysis and an opinion. Fast. That's what we do.
